Canon PowerShot SD1000 digital camera 7.1 megapixel
Street price around $ 170.00

Pros: Compact, Bright LCD controls, comfortable, good value for money, easy to use, durable images good quality

Cons: Can not adjust fast enough for low light images.
It comes with a case. Small memory card.

Biggest complaint seems to be that Canon should have included a 1 or 2 GB SD card. It comes with a 32MB memory card. With cards being so cheap that have not made a difference significantly in cost and probably would have made this a true "5" rating.

"In the past I've owned a Canon SD400, 500, 600, 630, and the Rebel XTi. The SD1000 is a good value for what you get. The only thing I like about the Canon SD series is that the optical / Digital zoom is not so great, but for the price, is good business. Especially now that SD1000 is 7.1 MP. The SD1000 has more than one search box compared to other SD series cameras, but still pleasant, with a large LCD screen. Total good camera. "

Pros: The quality is compared with the highest score Fujifilm F31fd. Easy to use. Comes with 1GB memory and case. Good for a beginer.

Cons: No viewfinder. Tire under the light could be better, slow delay time. Not the best for a quick shot.

"Amazing pictures from a camera price (130USD). Basically, the quality equivalent to that of Fujifilm F31fd high scores, only 8 megapixels (not 6). The noise reduction is eaten at the edges and details, but overall a great performance unsurpassed by other pacts. Initially, zoom lens, autofocus, zoom and review images in particular are slow. Not the best for fast shooting.

The prices on digital cameras have dropped significantly, while the quality has improved. It was not long ago that a 2.3-megapixel camera was the norm.
Now 7-8 are about average.

Selecting the right camera for you depends on what you want out of the camera. If you just want pull the family or vacation snapshots that probably can not go wrong with any of them. However, if you in the picture much more sophisticated, then you should probably consider the type SLR cameras.
