help buying a camera??

I want to buy a digital camera and I found that Panasonic FZ-18 Fuji S9600 (S9100) are the best for me, is that anyone who used / know about these 2 cameras? I have never used cameras before ... I am a Canon ... but look at this side by side comparison of these two cameras on dpreview ...
