It's amazing to think how far technology has come the video camera and has evolved from humble origins. Video cameras, like all forms of technology and gadgets and gizmos have improved and become easier to use and most innovative in recent years. That's nothing new, and no reason to rescind the advancement of video camera on a higher pedestal than anything else. But when one looks at history, timing and growth of the camera video, it's amazing to see where you come from, where gone, and those who venture in the future.

Video cameras emerged as large, bulky and heavy tape devices or coils required to record and store moving images. The well-rested uncomfortably on the shoulder, or standing on tripods or legs. His movement and portability is severely hindered and limited by cables, cords or cables. Only specialized technicians and trained people may work. And, perhaps most impressive of all, video cameras could only record, disseminate and reproduce in black and white.

Fast Forward (another innovation in the video camera) to the digital age and we are now flooded from brand to brand of digital camcorder. Some live in the higher price range, with all the necessary bells and whistles and features. While others are more simple and affordable. Most require no tapes - which, after further reflection, probably larger than today's digital camcorders - to record and play the movie. Today, video cameras of today are built with a disc drive included in the unit, so you can store the movie right on the device itself. That, in itself, also shows how computer technology has evolved over the years.

Digital video cameras have improved and advanced so that now no longer confined to traditional video-based camera. Cameras video are now in a variety of devices, including cellular phones, handheld portable digital assistants games consoles and a host of other devices Portable. Whereas before, perhaps only an event which justifies the use of video camera, today's generation uses the camera video in the same way as they would a pair of scissors - are a tool of convenience.

Digital video cameras seem to be everywhere these days, even if we are alien to their location and whereabouts. Certainly, the hand held video camera will always be pros and style. But more and more people are choosing to have a digital video camera that is part of another issue altogether, rather than a separate module. And as interesting as the technology itself, is how being used. Video cameras are regularly used to document, record, create and share. Perhaps they have always been used for that purpose, but now they are playing an even greater role in society, media and culture.
